Taste and See

Climb the steps to the upper room
where a seat is prepared for you.
Greet the fragrance of the meal;
memories enfold and heal.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Hear the voice of the carpenter,
all the echoes Eden heard.
Speak the prayers of the holy pasch;
Take and drink the cup that’s passed.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Taste the bread that is offered here;
recline with him who’s ever near.
See him gazing on you now:
Christ his love is pouring out.
